Renee is an executive technology leader with significant experience in driving strategic change resulting in market share, revenue and profit growth. She has proven abilities as an effective leader with strong customer focus, a track record of aligning IT with business needs, and delivering complex technology solutions
Renee is vice president of Digital Program Delivery and is responsible for driving the strategy, vision and execution of the Digital Transformation program for the technology organization. She is closely aligned with Aetna’s Consumer Health & Services organization to provide digital IT solutions that revolutionize the consumer health experience. The $100M+ program launched in early 2017 and began delivering the new digital Aetna Health mobile experience on January 1, 2018.
Renee also leads the Enterprise Integration team that has delivered thousands of data integrations supporting all Aetna businesses. This strategic organization has transformed the way data is delivered to systems enabling real time, high performing transactions resulting in high customer satisfaction. Renee led the optimization of delivering integrations that resulted in a three-year’s cost reduction of approximately 30%. She was also a key visionary and leader in the first-ever established Agile SAFe and DevOps program at Aetna and currently runs 100% of the organization in SAFe.
Renee started her career with Aetna in 1989 when she entered through her high school work study program. Her first job was in the Individual Billing and COBRA Administration business where she pushed a cart and delivered mail. She spent eight years in business organizations holding many diverse administrative and customer service positions before making a career change over to IT. Since then Renee has held key leadership roles in several large programs including Strategic Systems & Processes, HIPAA & ICD-10, Health Care Reform & Exchanges, and the Next Gen platform for Consumer Business. In 2013, Renee led the creation of the Multi-Channel Center of Excellence (MCOE); a team credited with building omni-channel solutions for many business areas within Aetna and who has multiple patents awarded and pending.
Renee is a 2016 graduate of the Strategies for Success program at Aetna and has been a keynote speaker at several industry forums and conferences. She is a member of Aetna’s Women’s Leadership Alliance, the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), the Society for Information Management (SIM) and the United Way Women’s Leadership Council. Renee has also been a supporter for the March of Dimes for the past 15 years.
